Local Bellmore Filmmakers’ Premiere Stand Up Guy at LIIFE Thursday July 14 at 5:30 P.M.

Bellmore, NY - July 14, 2016 - Lee Kolinsky and Michael Riccio, both of Bellmore, NY have their debut film Stand Up Guy showing at the Long Island International Film Expo on Thursday, July 14 at 5:30 p.m.

Stand Up Guy marks Kolinsky’s directorial debut and marks Michael Riccio’s acting debut. Riccio plays Roman, a former mafia head who is released from 15 years of prison. Roman seeks out to confront his old friend Angelo (Joseph A. Halsey) in order to take back his family business.

“When I moved back into Bellmore three years ago, I met Michael, who owns a local hair salon,” said Kolinsky. “He wanted to try acting I wanted to try directing. We felt this was a good way for two local guys to team up and make a short film.”

Kolinsky has previously written award-winning short films Junkie Heaven and Bullified. He also co-wrote the award winning independent film Send No Flowers starring Sean Young.

Stand Up Guy has been nominated and won several awards throughout the year including Best Ensemble. The film also features Tony Kost, Russ Camarda and Robert Hellmers. Along with being produced by Kolinsky and Riccio, the production team also includes Rapier Wit Films and Steve Sage Productions.
