Amityville, NY - July 13, 2016 - The Office of Assemblywoman Kimberly Jean-Pierre encourages attendance to the Hoops for Hunger basketball tournament. Hunger prevents millions of Americans from living healthy, productive lives. America's food banks, food pantries and feeding programs are important now more than ever.

What: Hoops for Hunger 3 on 3 basketball tournament
When: Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm
Where: United North Amityville Youth Organization Inc. (U.N.A.Y.O.) at 48A Cedar Road, Amityville, NY 11701.
More Info: Registration is required and participants are encouraged to register by July 22, 2016. Participants must sign in between 11:00am to 11:45am.

Hoops for Hunger is a free basketball tournament where the price of admission is the donation of a canned good. All canned goods collected will be donated to the United Veterans Beacon House in the Town of Babylon.

Teams will get a chance to face off against local firefighters, police officers, first responders and community leaders. Spectators are welcome!
