Leandra’s Law Arrest in Rockville Centre

A woman was arrested in Rockville Centre for driving while intoxicated with a child in the car.

Rockville Centre, NY - July 13, 2014 - The Nassau County Police report the arrest of an East Rockaway woman for Driving while Intoxicated violating Leandra’s Law that occurred on Saturday, July 12, 2014 in Rockville Centre.
 
According to police, Rockville Centre Police received a call for an auto accident on Riverside Drive. Upon their arrival the officers discovered the defendant Bianca Flores, 25 of  2 Wilson Street was driving a 2013 Honda with a 6 year old female passenger when she was involved in an auto accident at that location. The investigation determined that Flores had left the scene of an auto accident in Lynbrook just prior to the accident on Riverside Drive. She was placed under arrest without incident and the child was released to a family member. There were no injuries reported.
 
Flores is charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a child under 15               (Leandra Law), Aggravated Unlicensed 1st degree(DWI), Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Driving While Intoxicated, and Leaving the scene of an Auto Accident. She will be arraigned on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
