Suspect Arrested for Patchogue Sex Assault and Robbery

July 11, 2013 - Patchogue, NY - A 25 year old Patchogue man is being held on $75,000 bail following his arrest by Suffolk County Police 5th Squad detectives for sodomizing and robbing a woman, Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said today. 
 
Gary Grigg, out on parole for a 2008 burglary, allegedly attacked the victim around 3:00 AM on June 29 on West Main Street in Patchogue.  
 
“During this vicious attack, the defendant sexually assaulted the victim and broke her nose by repeatedly punching her in the face”, District Attorney Spota said.   
 
Grigg pleaded not guilty in First District Court to one charge of Criminal Sexual Act in the first degree and Robbery in the second degree.  Grigg took $26 from the victim.
