Uniondale Man Loses Several Fingers After Fireworks Explode in Hands, Officials Report

Uniondale, NY - July 10, 2017 - The Major Case Bureau reports the details of a serious aided case that occurred in Uniondale on Sunday, 07/09/17 at 10:20 P.M.
 
According to the Arson/Bomb Squad, a 39-year-old male, while on Midwood St./Newport Rd., attempted to light a mortar firework, which then immediately exploded in his hands.
 
Nassau County Police Ambulance transported the aided, who sustained serious burns to his face, neck and hands in addition to the loss of several fingers, to a local hospital. The aided is listed in serious but stable condition.
 
The investigation is ongoing.
