Suffolk Sheriff’s Office To Hold Recruitment Event July 15

As an ongoing effort to recruit new talent, the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office will be holding the “Corrections Career Fair” on Tuesday, July 15 at 6:00pm at the Yaphank Correctional Facility. 

The free informational event showcases the career paths available within the Sheriff’s Office through stations of different corrections units. In addition to highlighting the diverse opportunities that the Sheriff’s Office offers, participants will be able to connect one-on-one with the men and women of the agency about the careers and benefits of the job. 

Civil Service will be available to help people sign up for the open corrections exam and answer any questions.

Registration for the Corrections exam is open until July 23.  A new contract was just signed, increasing the starting salary to $60,000 and raising top pay to $155,000 after 8 years.
