NCPD: Bethpage Resident Charged with Allegedly Making Sexual Advances Towards 10 Year-Old Boy

Second Squad detectives announced an arrest in connection with an unusual incident that originally occurred on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 3:46 pm in Hicksville.
 
According to detectives, while walking on Gables Drive in the vicinity of Gables Road, a 10 year old male victim was approached by an adult male white subject who was driving a light gray or silver four door sedan. The subject, who was described to be in his twenties with blonde hair and wearing a black shirt, drew the attention of the victim and made, what was described to be, sexual advances towards him. The victim then left the area and went home. After telling his parents what had occurred, the police were then contacted.
 
Petar Dunat of Bethpage, 18, was arrested for the above incident.
 
Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the defendant was previously arrested on Thursday, June 27 for an incident that occurred at E. Nicholai St. in Hicksville. According to detectives, Petar Dunat touched himself inappropriately in his car while asking a 70 year-old female victim for directions. He was apprehended and charged with Public Lewdness. He was previously arraigned.
 
The defendant is further charged with Endangering the Welfare of a child. He was arraigned at First District Court, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
