Cops: Drunken Man Shot in Abdomen at Roosevelt Party Didn't Notice Until He Sobered Up

Roosevelt, NY - July 6, 2018 - The First Squad detectives are investigating an Assault that occurred on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at 10:00 p.m. in Roosevelt.
 
According to detectives, the male victim, 28, was being driven home by a friend from a party on Washington Avenue when he realized he was bleeding from his abdomen. The victim was highly intoxicated and did not check to see what was causing the bleeding. After sleeping and sobering up the victim realized the blood and wound was from a gunshot and went to a nearby hospital. He was treated for non-life threating injuries and released. The investigation is ongoing.
