Officials: Valley Stream Man Arrested After Harassing, Issuing Death Threat to Florida Police

Valley Stream, NY - July 5, 2018 - The Fifth Squad reports the Arrest of a Valley Stream man for Aggravated Harassment that occurred on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. in Valley Stream.
 
According to detectives, a Facebook message was sent on July 3, 2018 to WESH 2 News in Florida stating the defendant was going to kill a West Palm Beach police Sergeant. After an investigation, Robert Shemanski, 38, was arrested for the above incident. Further investigation revealed the defendant has been calling the West Palm Beach Police Department for approximately two years and harassing them.
 
Robert Shemanski was charged with Harassment 1st Degree. He will be arraigned on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at First District Court, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
