NCPD: Two Busted in East Meadow After Advertising Sale of Illegal Fireworks Via Flyers

James Pantina of Bellmore, 34, and Christopher Sanchez of of Blauvelt, 34, are charged with Unlawfully Selling Fireworks and Unlawfully Possession of Fireworks, cops say.

East Meadow, NY - July 5, 2018 - The First Precinct reports the arrest of two (2) men for Fireworks that occurred on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 8:37 pm in East Meadow.
 
According to Special Patrol Officers, a flyer was displayed in East Meadow containing a product list and pictures of various fireworks. The flyer provided a name and a contact phone number.
 
A subsequent investigation was conducted with the assistance of Community Oriented Police Enforcement (C.O.P.E.) Officers. James Pantina, 34, of Bellmore, and Christopher Sanchez, 34, of Blauvelt, New York, were arrested without incident.
 
Defendants Pantina and Sanchez are charged with Unlawfully Selling Fireworks and Unlawfully Possession of Fireworks. They were both issued tickets returnable to First District Court, Hempstead on August 30, 2018.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
