Baldwin Resident in Custody After Using Multiple Credit Cards from Stolen Wallet, Cops Say

Baldwin, NY - July 5, 2018 - The First Squad reports the arrest of a Baldwin man for Grand Larceny that occurred on Wednesday, July 04, 2018 at 6:50 a.m. in Baldwin.
 
According to detectives, police received a radio call for a stolen wallet from an auto that occurred on July 3, 2018 on Clifford Court. Credit cards that were in the wallet were used at various locations. After an investigation, David Webster, 26, was located and arrested. While searching the defendant, prescription pills and currency that were stolen from another automobile on July 4, 2018 at 7:45 a.m. on Allen Pl. were recovered.
 
Defendant David Webster is charged with three (3) counts of Grand Larceny 4th Degree, Petit Larceny, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree and Identity Theft 3rd Degree. He will be arraigned on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at First District Court, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
