Two Beaches Closed to Bathing

July 1st - Suffolk County, NY - The Suffolk County Department of Health Services has closed the following beaches to bathing due to the finding of bacterial levels in excess of acceptable criteria:

·         Tides Beach in Rocky Point closed today

·         Copiague Harbor Beach in Copiague remains closed.

Health officials have deemed all other permitted beaches in Suffolk County that are open for the season to be safe for bathing at this time.
