Nassau Police Report Arrests of Two Alleged Drug Dealers in Laurel Hollow

Laurel Hollow, NY - June 30, 2017 - The Major Case Bureau reports the details of two arrests for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance that occurred on Thursday, June 29, 2017 in Laurel Hollow.
 
According to Narcotic Vice Squad detectives, with the assistance of the Nassau County Police Department Bureau of Special Operations officers, an investigation was made into the fatal overdose of a 31 year old male victim in June 2017. On June 29, 2017 defendant Tariq Williams, 34, of Amityville, did offer to sell a quantity of heroin to another for an agreed amount of US currency.  
 
Defendant Williams was placed under arrest after being a passenger in a vehicle driven by defendant Kennyatta Johnson, 28, of Shirley. Twelve (12) bags of a tannish powder believed to be heroin, two (2) pieces of a broken yellow Xanax pill, a clear plastic bag containing a white powder believed to be cocaine and a small bag of marijuana were recovered inside of the automobile.
 
Defendant Williams is being charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd and 7th Degree.  
 
Defendant Johnson is being charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and Criminal Facilitation 4th Degree. They will be arraigned on Friday, June 30, 2017 at First District Court, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
