Massapequa Woman Dragged Her Mother With Car After Argument, NCPD Reports

Massapequa, NY - June 28, 2018 - The Homicide Squad reports the details of the arrest of a Massapequa woman for Assault that occurred on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 1:15 p.m. in Massapequa.
 
According to detectives, Shaquay Minter, 25, got into a verbal argument with her 42 year-old mother. The argument escalated into the driveway and the defendant got into her car. When the victim attempted to remove her pocket book from the car, Minter backed up and dragged the victim, possibly running her over. The victim sustained multiple injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
 
Shaquay Minter was arrested without incident. She is charged with Assault 2nd Degree and Criminal Contempt 1st Degree. She will be arraigned on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at First District Court, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
