Elderly Woman Assaulted and Robbed in Parking Lot of Uniondale Rehab Center

Uniondale, NY - June 26, 2017 - The Third Squad is investigating a Robbery which occurred on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 6:20 pm in Uniondale.
 
According to detectives, the female victim, 78, was visiting a family member at Town House Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing located at 755 Hempstead Turnpike.
 
The victim was approached in the parking lot by a male black suspect who demanded money and forcibly removed her pocketbook. The victim fell to the ground but was not injured. The suspect fled north on foot with the pocketbook and its contents.
 
The suspect (pictured above) is described as 40-45 years old, wearing a black Kangol hat, red and white shirt, dark colored pants and shoes.
