Hybrid Wolf Stolen from Holtsville Animal Preserve, According to Officials

Holtsville, NY - June 25, 2018 - Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the theft of a wolf from an animal preserve in Holtsville.
 
A person or people cut the fence surrounding The Town of Brookhaven Ecology Site, Park & Animal Preserve, located at 249 Buckley Road, and entered the facility sometime between June 24 at 4 p.m. and June 25 at 7 a.m. A hybrid wolf was stolen from a cage. The wolf, a 7-year-old female named Nakita, was surrendered to the facility approximately a year ago.
