Multiple Motorcycle Collision on Wantagh State Parkway Under Investigation

Westbury, NY - June 25, 2015 - On 6/25/15 at 12:53 AM,  three motorcycles were traveling northbound on the Wantagh State Parkway at a high rate of speed.  As they entered the exit ramp for the Northern State Parkway westbound, the first motorcycle, a 2012 Kawasaki, failed to negotiate the curve in the roadway and was ejected from his motorcycle.  The 2nd motorcycle, a 2010 BMW, also fails to negotiate the curve, overturns his motorcycle and is also ejected.  The 3rd motorcycle, a 2007 Yamaha, strikes the operator of the BMW motorcycle and is ejected. 

The operator of the Kawasaki, Abbas Fakharikahaki, age 33, of Brooklyn NY, was transported to Winthrop Hospital and is being treated for a ruptured spleen.  The operator of the BMW, Maciej Wasek, age 38, also of Brooklyn, was transported to Nassau University Medical Center, where he is being treated for a broken leg.  The operator of the Yamaha, Jerry Delacruz, age 20, of Uniondale NY, is being treated for head trauma at NUMC and is in critical condition.
