Cedarhurst Man Arrested for Forcibly Touching 15-Year-Old Girl

Cedarhurst, NY - June 23, 2016  - The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of a Cedarhurst man for Forcible Touching that occurred on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 1:00 pm in Cedarhurst.

According to detectives, a 15 year old female victim was walking on Grove Avenue when defendant Jaime Martinez, 69, of Cedarhurst began waving the victim over to his front porch.  The victim walked over and sat next to the defendant.  Defendant Martinez then placed his hand on the victims’ thigh and attempted to raise her skirt.  As the defendant kept his hand on the victims’ thigh, he proceeded to kiss the victim on the mouth. 

The victim and her parent’s notified police and defendant Martinez was placed under arrest at his home on June 20, 2016 at 5:45 pm without incident.

Defendant Martinez is being charged with 2 counts of Forcible Touching and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.  He was arraigned on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at First District Court, Hempstead.
