Legislator Hahn Welcomes Eight New Eagle Scouts

Stony Brook, NY - June 23rd, 2014 - Suffolk County Legislator Kara Hahn joined Councilwoman Valerie Cartright and representatives from the offices of Senators LaValle and Flanagan to welcome eight new Eagle Scouts to the Three Village Community. The Eagle Court of Honor for Daniel Marco Adrion, Jeffrey Lee Bohn, Nicholas Salvatore Castellano, Thomas Henry Hull, David William Klecher, Jonathan Francesco McCarthy, Trevor Reid Munch and Justin Joseph Russo of Troop 117 was held on Friday, June 20th at Paul J. Gelinas Junior High School.

For their community service projects the Scouts completed the following:

Daniel Marco Adrion

Installed a small pond and water fall in a center courtyard at Murphy Junior High School in Stony Brook.

Jeffrey Lee Bohn

Beautified a side entrance at Paul J. Gelinas Junior High School in Setauket.

Nicholas Salvatore Castellano

Constructed an 8’x16’ sandbox for the children of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Setauket.

Thomas Henry Hull

Beautified a mid-1800’s orphans’ cemetery located on the grounds of the Caroline Church in Setauket.

David William Klecher

Beautified a garden located at the Stony Brook Community Church in Stony Brook.

Jonathan Francesco McCarthy

Installed three benches and a sugar maple tree for the enjoyment of students at Minnesauke Elementary school in East Setauket.

Trevor Reid Munch

Conceptualized, directed, edited and produced a documentary film highlighting the Avalon Park and Preserve in Stony Brook for distribution to local schools.

Justin Joseph Russo

Acquired, refurbished and installed a large gazebo for benefit of the Russian Orthodox Church in Setauket.
