Police: Lake Grove Nursing Home Employee Arrested for Stealing Jewelry from Residents

Lake Grove, NY - June 22, 2017 - Suffolk County Police have arrested a Middle Island woman for stealing jewelry from residents of a Lake Grove nursing home in May and June.
 
Following an investigation by Fourth Squad detectives, it was determined that Staci McNair had been stealing jewelry from residents’ rooms at the Bristal Assisted Living, located at 2995 Middle Country Road. McNair, who was employed a housekeeper, stole numerous pieces of jewelry from eight different residents in May and June.
 
McNair, 24, was charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, six counts of Grand Larceny 4th Degree, Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.
 
McNair was scheduled to be arraigned today at First District Court in Central Islip.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
