Riverhead, NY, June 2013 – On Tuesday, June 18th, Legislator Anker recognized Anne Shybunko-Moore at the General Meeting of the Suffolk County Legislature. Anne is the President and owner of GSE Dynamics, a defense manufacturer specializing in structural assemblies for the Air Force, Army and Navy. Anne was commended for her effort to support local businesses on Long Island, as well as for being an advocate for the presence of women in the manufacturing industry and working to keep young people on Long Island.

“I am proud to recognize Anne for being a strong advocate for the Long Island economy,” said Legislator Anker. “With so many businesses moving off Long Island, Anne has chosen to stay local, helping to preserve the manufacturing industry and provide jobs to create a stronger economy.”

As a member of the Suffolk Community College Foundation, Anne works to encourage economic and workforce development in Suffolk County. Anne’s recent efforts have been focused on training programs to preserve the manufacturing industry on Long Island and informing the public that manufacturing still has a strong presence in our local economy. In March of 2008, Suffolk Community College Foundation presented Anne with the Manufacturing Workforce Leadership Award for Excellence.
