Ronkonkoma, NY - June 19, 2018 - Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad and Arson Section detectives are investigating a house fire that killed a man in Ronkonkoma on Monday, June 18, 2018.
 
Fourth Precinct police officers and firefighters from the Lakeland Fire Department responded to a residence on May Court at 3:25 p.m. today, after the home owners called 911 to report a fire at the location.
 
An adult male, Paul Stephan, 60, a resident of the home, was located inside. Stephan was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
 
A preliminary investigation by Arson Section detectives has determined the cause of the fire to be non-criminal.
