Franklin Square Man Arrested for Allegedly Touching 11-Year-Old Girl Inappropriately
The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Franklin Square man for an incident that occurred on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 5:54 PM in Garden City.
According to detectives, the Defendant Riken Acharya, 21, of 53 Carl Avenue was at the Sephora store located at 630 Old Country Road where he inappropriately touched an 11 year old female victim. The defendant then fled from the scene. Responding officers located the defendant nearby and placed him under arrest without incident.
Defendant Riken Acharya is charged with Sexual Abuse 1st Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
