Garden City, NY - June 18, 2018 - Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas, specializing in small plates that put modern twists on Italian classics and fine wines from around the world, invites guests to enjoy its Bedell Cellars Wine Dinner at its location in The Gallery at Westbury Plaza on Thursday, June 28 at 7:00pm.
Bedell Cellars is a family-owned winery that has hand-crafted wines in small batches for thirty-five years using methods that define the regional style — artistically blending grapes grown in their unique maritime terroir, with a commitment to sustainable farming.
Executive Chef Ryan Keough has prepared a five-course tasting menu paired with a selection of Bedell wines. Guest speaker Matthew Rizzo, a Vineyard Ambassador for Bedell Cellars, will also be on hand to provide tasting notes for each course. The full menu includes:
Honey Peach Bruschetta – Aged balsamic, crumbled goat cheese, peach compote, Prosciutto di Parma. Paired with Viognier 2016.
Crispy Octopus Salad – Brown butter squash, cherry tomatoes, carrot pureģe. Paired with Sauvignon Blanc 2017.
Peppercorn Duck & Violet Mustard – Red baby greens, roasted mushrooms, gremolata. Paired with Merlot 2015.
Chile Marinated Lamb Shoulder – Braised Lacinato kale, shallot pepper demi reduction. Paired with Cabernet Franc 2016.
Artisanal Cheese – Paired with First Crush White 2016 Dessert Cocktail.
