Suspect Wanted for Stealing Credit Card from Parked Car in Commack, Using Card for Shopping Spress

Commack, NY - June 18th, 2015 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Fourth Squad Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the man and woman who used credit cards that had been stolen from a vehicle in Commack.

A woman reported that her pocketbook was stolen from her car on June 4 at approximately 5:30 p.m., while it was parked in front of the Walmart located at 85 Crooked Hill Road, Commack. The handbag contained credit cards and sunglasses. Later that day, two suspects were caught on video surveillance using the stolen credit cards at Kohl’s in the same shopping plaza, located at 45 Crooked Hill Road.

The card was used again at Old Navy located at the Gardiner Manor Shopping Center at 880 Sunrise Highway, Bay Shore. The suspects purchased clothing, beach towels and Peanut M&M's.

One of the suspects is described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic female who was wearing purple pants and a blue shirt. The second suspect is a black male who is bald and was wearing a black t-shirt with camouflage pants and hat.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
