Sinai, NY, June 2013 – On Wednesday, June 12th Legislator Sarah Anker recognized the Mount Sinai Varsity Girls Lacrosse team on becoming the new Class “C” New York State Champions. Players, parents, and school officials gathered on the Mount Sinai High School turf field to celebrate the victory.

“This is a great moment for Mount Sinai’s lacrosse program,” said Legislator Anker. “I commend the girls for their dedication and commitment to their sport.”

The win was a proud moment for veteran players, who competed at the Class “C” championship in 2011. This year the Mustangs returned to the championship in Cortland to defeat Skaneatles with a score of 15-6. Mount Sinai completed its season with a perfect record of 20 wins and zero losses.
