Mt. Sinai, NY, June 2013-On Thursday, June 13th, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker and the Long Island Housing Partnership (LIHP) hosted a seminar on homeownership. The meeting, which took place at the Heritage Center in Mount Sinai, covered topics such as homeownership on Long Island, first time home buying, foreclosure counseling, and various down payment programs.
“We must address the need for providing affordable housing opportunities on Long Island,” said Legislator Anker. “We are very fortunate to have such a knowledgeable resource that can provide a service to those individuals who are looking to become homeowners.”
