The heat and humidity may cause heat stress during outdoor exertion or extended exposure.

Man Found Dead on Side of Road in Patchogue, According to Officials

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a man who was found on the side of the road in Patchogue.
 
A passing motorist observed a body with extensive head injuries on the side of Rider Ave., near Edwards Street. The man, who has been identified as Clarence Wyche, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
