Authorities: Pedestrian Struck and Killed While Crossing LIE Service Road in Jericho

Jericho, NY - June 14, 2018 - Homicide Squad detectives are investigating a fatal auto accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 9:11 p.m. in Jericho.
 
According to detectives, a 33 year old male attempted to cross the South Service Road of the LIE west of Jericho Turnpike when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle. As a result of the collision, the male suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by a Nassau County AMT. The driver of the automobile remained at the scene. The vehicle was impounded for break and safety checks.
 
The investigation into this incident continues. The name of the victim is being withheld at this time.
