Long Island, NY - June 5, 2017 - The Fair Media Council is pleased to announce The Viscardi Center is its newest member organization.

The Viscardi Center is a network of non-profit organizations dedicated to educating, employing, and empowering people with disabilities. It provides kindergarten through high school education (up to age 21), school-to-work youth transition services, vocational training, career counseling and employment placement, assistive technology, and adapted driver education to children, adolescents, and adults with a wide variety of disabilities. The Center also assists businesses in developing and advancing disability inclusive cultures in their workplaces.

"Joining the Fair Media Council illustrates an organization is committed to the success of the community at large. FMC advocates for quality news, so people know what's happening in their backyards through responsible news reporting. That's more important than ever before, now that we're living in the fake news era. With support from great organizations like The Viscardi Center, FMC strengthens its ability to create a media savvy society, and provide exclusive programming to meet our community's ever changing media needs," said Jaci Clement, Fair Media Council CEO and Executive Director.

The Viscardi Center joins about 200 businesses and nonprofit organizations that comprise the Fair Media Council, a 501c3 nonprofit organization headquartered on Long Island, N.Y.
