Police: Crooks Make Off with Over $30,000 in Tires, Rims from Westbury Fiat Dealership

Westbury, NY – June 14, 2017 – The Third Squad is investigating Grand Larceny that occurred on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 2:50 am in Westbury.
 
According to detectives, an unknown subject (s) did enter the property of Westbury Fiat located at 928 Jericho Turnpike through a hole in a chain linked fence on Waterbury Road. The subjects (s) did remove a total of 20 tires with rims from at least 6 vehicles using a floor jack leaving the vehicles elevated on cinder blocks that caused damage.  
 
The subject fled on foot in an unknown direction. The floor jack was later recovered on the property. 
 
The total loss and damage is in excess of $30,000 thousand dollars in US currency. There is no description of the person (s).
 
Detectives request that anyone with information regarding the above crime to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800- 244 –TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
