Search On for Suspects Who Attempted to Kidnap Two 8 Year-Old Girls in Mineola, Authorities Say

Mineola, NY - June 13, 2018 - Third Squad detectives are investigating an incident that occurred on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 4:40 p.m. in Mineola.
 
According to detectives, two (2) female victims, both 8 years of age, were playing in the yard of a home on Maple Place. Two (2) unknown male subjects confronted the victims and chased them around the yard. Subject #1 pushed victim #1 to the ground and struck her in the face causing minor pain to her face.
 
Victim #1 screamed and kicked subject #1 causing both subjects to flee the scene. Victim #2 was able to run away from the subjects and suffered no injuries. One of the subjects fled in a dark colored auto while the other fled on foot in an unknown direction. Both victims were able to alert their parents who called 911.
 
Both subjects are described as males, with dark skin and beards, wearing yellow pants and blue shirts.
