Mineola, NY - June 12, 2016 - With the recent act of terror in Orlando, Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and Acting Police Commissioner Thomas C. Krumpter will host a press briefing tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. to discuss intensified police patrols, proactive security measures and remind residents of the “See Something, Say Something” campaign. New Anti Terror Vehicle for Response Unveiled.

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and Acting Police Commissioner Thomas C. Krumpter express their deepest condolences and sympathies to the victims and families of the Orlando, Florida shooting.  The Nassau County Police Department is intensifying patrols around all areas of public gatherings, critical infrastructure and request that our residents call the police immediately if they observe anything threatening or suspicious.  The Nassau County Police Department is dedicated to protecting our residents from all types of terrorism.  “If you see something, Say Something.”

Edward Mangano: "I have directed flags be lowered to half-staff in memory of the victims of Sunday's terror attack in Orlando. Flags will be flown at half staff through June 18th.
