Bay Street Theatre Welcomes Diana Aceti As New Director Of Development

Sag Harbor, NY - June 13th, 2013 - The Bay Street Theatre, a not-for-profit professional regional theatre situated on Long Wharf, in Sag Harbor, NY, is pleased to announce the appointment of Diana Aceti as its new Director of Development. A resident of Sag Harbor, Aceti brings over twenty years of fundraising, marketing, strategic planning and communications experience to Bay Street Theatre.  She has spent the last year as Director of External Relations and Advancement at The Watermill Center, and the previous seven years as Director of Development & Major Gifts at East Hampton’s Ross School.

“I am honored to join the wonderful team at Bay Street at this important time of change and growth at this acclaimed artistic haven,” says Aceti.  “My goal is to help ensure the long-term sustainability of the Bay Street Theatre, which is essential to the character and spirit of the East End.  Since its inception in 1991, Bay Street has offered artists and audiences the opportunity to experience the power of live theatre.  It is an invaluable resource for the community, with an open door policy to the area’s schools, engaging and inspiring our children with innovative educational programs and projects.”

In her new role, Aceti will work closely with Executive Director, Tracy Mitchell, and the Board of Trustees in the development and execution of strategies, plans and projects in support of the theatre’s overall goals for revenue through major gifts, underwriting, naming opportunities, and grants.

Says Executive Director, Tracy Mitchell, “We are thrilled to have Diana joining the Bay Street team at this very important moment in our history. I see it as a pivotal time for Bay Street – an exciting time to refresh, renew and explore artistically beyond where we have been. And developing a strong base from which to operate is imperative.”
