Cops: Couple Sought After Using Stolen Credit Cards at Islandia and Smithtown Stores

A purse containing credit cards was stolen from a vehicle in Ronkonkoma, and the cards were later used at two Walgreens stores, police say.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the people who used stolen credit cards at stores in Islandia and Smithtown in May. 
 
A purse containing credit cards was stolen from a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer parked at Karts Indoor Raceway, located at 701 Union Parkway in Ronkonkoma, at approximately 3 p.m. on May 12. A short time later, a woman used one of the stolen credit cards at Walgreens, located at 712 Smithtown Bypass in Smithtown and a man used one of the stolen credit cards at Walgreens, located at 1860 Veterans Memorial Highway in Islandia.
