NCPD Resuscitate Two After Possible Overdose

Merrick, NY - June 11, 2014 - The First Precinct reports the details of a possible drug overdose that occurred in Merrick at 6:40 pm on June 10, 2014.
 
According to detectives, First Precinct Police Officers responded along with a Nassau County Advanced Medical Technician to a residence on Washington Street for a male 26 years of age and a female 21 years of age who were both unconscious with shallow breathing. The Nassau County AMT administered Narcan to the male and advised two Nassau County Police Officers that both were unconscious from heroin overdoses. The police officers then administered Narcan to the 21 year old female as well. Both victims immediately showed signs of effectiveness and became alert and responsive. Both victims were transported to the Nassau University Medical Center by Nassau County Police Ambulance for further evaluation and treatment.
