Written by Long Island News & PR  |  11. June 2014

Westbury, NY - June 11, 2014 - Alanis Morissette doesn't tour often, but when the singer, songwriter, guitarist, record producer and actress who, has won seven Grammy Awards does tour - it's a big deal. Her first album, Jagged Little Pill sold over 33 million copies since its release in 1995 and featured critically acclaimed singles including "You Learn," "Ironic" and "You Oughta Know." Alanis has sold more than 60 million copies of her recordings worldwide.

Now, Long Island Cares, Inc. has a special block of 20 tickets to see Alanis Morissette in a special and rare Intimate and Acoustic Concert in the half-round at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury for one night only on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 8:00 PM.  Like all of the concerts at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury, all of the seats are great, and July 26 will be no different for a special evening with Alanis Morissette. In addition to your tickets you have an opportunity to meet many of Long Island Cares' donors and friends, and support the work of Long Island's regional food bank. Long Island Cares, Inc. is very proud of our relationship with Live Nation and the staff at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury. The NYCB Theatre at Westbury often makes a special block of tickets to some of their top concerts available to support our Endowment Fund. In addition, they have been a constant partner in our "Beat an End to Hunger" campaign which has allowed us to auction signed and framed drumheads from some of the most popular recording artists and entertainers that have performed at the venue. The NYCB Theatre at Westbury is also represented on the Long Island Cares' Music Industry Council, and has also been the location of our annual "Concert for "Children's Hunger Awareness," a free event for Long Island schools that will be held this year on Tuesday, October 7, 2014. Thank you Live Nation and the NYCB Theatre at Westbury for being great corporate partners in the fight against hunger on Long Island, and for helping us continue to turn Music 2 Meals.
