All Summer

Smorgasburg

Brooklyn

Every weekend through October, over 100 local vendors set up at the Williamsburg waterfront on Saturdays and in Prospect Park on Sundays to partake in Smorgasburg—a foodie paradise that features an eclectic mix of cuisines and trendy bites. Soak up the sun while sinking your teeth into a juicy ramen burger (a Smorgasburg staple), or dig into a whole grilled lobster with garlic butter and noodles (new this year!). Between the wide array of meals, snacks and desserts available—including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options—there’s bound to be something for everyone.

Strawberry Festival

Mattituck June 13-16

Head to Mattituck to celebrate the height of strawberry season at the 64th annual Mattituck Lions Club Strawberry Festival. Live music and arts and crafts vendors will complement a host of different foods, most notably strawberry treats like chocolate-covered strawberries and strawberry shortcake. Leave some time to digest before hopping aboard the carnival rides, and cap off the day with a firework show on any of the first three nights.

North Fork Fresh

Orient June 15

Taste the flavors of the North Fork as local restaurants, farmers and chefs gather to showcase their selection of food, wine and desserts. The festival will be complete with live music, a beer truck, a clam bar and a pie-baking contest. More than 20 restaurants and vendors will be in attendance for the festivities.

Egg Rolls, Egg Creams and Empanadas Festival

NYC June 16

Discover the diverse history of the Lower East Side at the Museum at Eldridge Street’s annual celebration of Chinese, Jewish and Puerto Rican culture. As the name suggests, guests can indulge in egg rolls, egg creams and empanadas throughout the day. The family-friendly event features musical performances and crafts such as mask making.

July

Famous Food Festival

Deer Park July 13 & 14

Explore a wide range of foods from all over the world right at the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park. In addition to the 45-plus vendors that will be in attendance, the festival will also feature live music, a beer and wine garden, chef demonstrations and a video game truck.

GrillHampton: Dan’s Taste of Summer

Bridgehampton July 19

The competition is back this summer as chefs from New York City take to Bridgehampton to challenge their East End rivals. Live music will be performed as guests sample bites and decide which team’s grilled specialties have come out on top.

Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival

Queens July 21

Don’t miss the ultimate celebration of Caribbean food, music and culture. Stimulate your palate with Jamaican jerk spice and dance your heart out to reggae music. A jerk cook-off pavilion will test the skills of competing chefs, and celebrities will show off their skills in a quick fire cook-off.
