Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker recently attended the Mount Sinai Civic Association’s monthly meeting to administer the oaths of office.

Mount Sinai, NY, June 2013 – Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker recently attended the Mount Sinai Civic Association’s monthly meeting to administer the oaths of office for President Ann Becker, Corresponding Secretary Brad Arrington, Recording Secretary Herb Schutte and newly elected Membership Secretary Jennifer Roth.

“Our civic leaders are the voices of our community,” said Legislator Anker. “They bring about positive changes in our neighborhoods, and I look forward to working together this year.” 

Established in 1916, the Mount Sinai civic is involved in zoning issues, land preservation, traffic calming, safety issues and educating residents about political, educational and social activities.

The Mount Sinai Civic Association meets on the first Monday of every month at 8:00 p.m. at the Heritage Center at North Shore Heritage Park.
