Seaford Man Arrested on Drug and Weapons Charges

Seafordn, NY - June 9, 2014 - Seventh Squad detectives report the arrest of a Seaford man on June 7, 2014 for an incident that occurred at 9:30 am in Seaford.
 
According to detectives, Seventh Precinct officers responded to the home of Michael Marron, 55, of 2608 Island Channel Road for the report of BB gun shots from the property that borders the school grounds of the Seaford Harbor Elementary School.
 
A subsequent investigation by officers and detectives revealed that Marron utilized a metal suit of armor, which he had up against a chain link fence in his rear yard, as a target. The fence line divides his property from that of the schoolyard. Aside from shooting BB guns at the makeshift target, it was discovered that Marron also shot .22 caliber bullets from a rifle at the armor which was riddled with numerous bullet holes.
 
Marron, who was then placed under arrest, was found to be in possession of cocaine and 19 hydromorphone hydrochloride pills, a derivative of morphine.
 
The defendant is charged with two (2) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and two (2) counts of Prohibitions on the Use and Possession of Firearms.
 
He will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on 06/08/2014.
