Suffolk County Hockey Leagues Raise $7,000 for Boston

Suffolk County Hockey League's fundraising event to benefit The One Fund Boston, Inc. was a success, raising over $7,000.

Hauppague, NY - June 6th, 2013 - On May 27th, the Suffolk County Hockey Leagues held a Memorial Day Tournament to raise money and awareness for the One Fund Boston Foundation. This foundation was started by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Tom Menino to help the people most affected by the tragic events that occurred in Boston on April 15th, 2013.

The SCHL and its teams, along with business partners, raised $7,000 from donations, journal ads and an online auction. SCHL Founder and CEO Michael Governara said, “We would like to recognize everyone who participated for helping to make this event so successful.
