NCPD: 63-Year-Old Mineola Man in Custody after Yelling, Waiving Firearm in Street
Third Squad Detectives report the arrest of a Mineola man for Criminal Possession of a Weapon that occurred on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at 7:03 pm in Mineola.
According to detectives, officers responded to a 911 call for a male yelling with a gun on Evelyn Road. Upon arrival, officers located a male and during the investigation discovered a loaded black handgun in a neighbor’s front yard. Kevin Conklin, 63, of Mineola was arrested without incident.
Conklin was removed to an area hospital for medical treatment and was released.
Defendant Conklin is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree and was arraigned on Monday, June 5, 2023 at First District Court, Hempstead.
