SPCA: East Patchogue Woman Charged with Starving Her Dog in Filthy, Dark Basement

On June 1, 2019 Suffolk County SPCA Detectives charged an East Patchogue woman with cruelty to animals.
 
Candace Diperi, 28, East Patchogue was charged with animal cruelty for failure to provide proper sustenance.  Daisy, a 6 year old coonhound, was found confined to a dark basement in feces and urine with no food or water. The dog was removed and transported to Brookhaven Animal Shelter.
 
Diperi  is schedule to appear in First District Court on July 31, 2019.
