Report: Queens Man Busted by NCPD after Holding Up Floral Park Bank

The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Queens man for a Robbery that occurred in Floral Park.
 
According to Robbery Squad Detectives, Rajiv P. Ramjas, 33, entered TD Bank located at 372 Jericho Turnpike. Ramjas approached the teller and passed a note demanding money. The teller complied and the subject fled with an undisclosed amount of currency. Ramjas fled on foot westbound through the parking lot.
 
Ramjas was arrested a short time later on Pontiac Street, Queens Village.
 
There were 7 employees and 2 customers inside the bank at the time of the robbery. There were no reported injuries. 
 
Defendant Ramjas is charged with Robbery 3rd Degree. He was arraigned at First District Court, Hempstead. 
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
