Two William Floyd High School Art Students Recognized by Bay Area Friends of the Fine Arts

Sayville, NY - June 3, 2014 – Two William Floyd High School art students, Rehnuma Khan and Sharon Montanez, recently received a second- and third place ribbon at the Bay Area Friends of the Fine Arts Annual High School Invitational Juried Exhibition held at the Gillette House in Sayville, NY. Khan, a junior, received second place for her still life done with oil; and Montanez, a senior, received third place for her mixed media piece based on immigration. Both students were honored at an artists’ reception and had their work displayed at the Gillette House for one week in early May. Congratulations to both students and their teachers, Susan Plunket and Theresa Bianco.
