A developer is proposing to split a commercial property in East Farmingdale into two and build a self-storage facility on one lot and a two-story office building and warehouse on the other.

On propertyshark.com, the site is listed as a 159,000-sq-ft office building with 954 parking spaces available. The office building, called 500 Corporate Plaza, houses multiple tenets and a quick Google search shows a law firm, Kiddie Academy of Farmingdale, HomeServe HVAC company, and Securitas security firm at the address. The property is valued at $44 million. It was built in 1986.

The site is across from the Regal UA Farmingdale & IMAX movie theater.

The plan is to subdivide the 15-acre property at 500 BiCounty Boulevard, which is located about 150 feet north of Michael Avenue. The self-storage building would be a 38,276-sq-ft three-story structure. No other details were available about the office or warehouse.

The application is currently under review at the Town of Babylon Planning Department.
