Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run in Coram

Coram, NY - June 2, 2016 - Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Coram last night.

A female pedestrian was attempting to cross Route 112 near Middle Country Road when she was struck by a white sedan that was travelling northbound on Route 112 at 11:48 p.m. The operator fled the scene in the vehicle, continuing northbound on Route 112, possibly past Middle Country Road.

The unidentified pedestrian was transported by Coram Fire Department Ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital where she is listed in serious condition.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have any information about this incident, or about the white sedan, to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
