Mangano Partners With Drug Free LI To Offer Free Health & Wellness Day On June 11th

Mangano and Massapequa Park-based Drug Free Long Island (DFLI) invite residents to a free educational and inspirational day of Health & Wellness on Saturday, June 11th.

A free educational and inspirational day of Health & Wellness will be held on Saturday, June 11th from 11am to 4pm at Marjorie Post Park in Massapequa.

Massapequa, NY - June 1, 2016 - Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and Massapequa Park-based Drug Free Long Island (DFLI) invite residents to a free educational and inspirational day of Health & Wellness on Saturday, June 11th from 11am to 4pm at Marjorie Post Park in Massapequa. The event will feature guest speakers on Reiki, Hypnosis, Fitness & Diet, and ways to Balance Life. There will also be games for children, a barbeque, vendors and music.

“My administration and Drug Free Long Island are committed to working together to educate residents and combat heroin and pain pill addiction in our community,” said County Executive Mangano. “Through education, awareness, treatment and enforcement, we are saving lives and keeping families whole.”

DFLI’s mission is to advance through public awareness, education, empowerment and advocacy the transformation of Long Island into DRUG FREE environments for the general safety, health and welfare of our children and all the members of our communities. The volunteer members join with like-minded coalitions and community based organizations to “rid Long Island of Heroin, other drugs and drug dealers.
