Shirley, NY - May 28, 2015 - The Suffolk County District Attorney’s East End Drug Task Force assisted by the County Police Emergency Services and K-9 Units, Seventh Squad Detectives and the Gang Unit executed a search warrant this morning at 295 Commack Road in Shirley as part of an investigation of drug trafficking, Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said.

Detectives recovered quantities of heroin, cocaine, marijuana, cash, scales, packaging materials and a shotgun.

The occupant of the home, 24 year old Jerrod Mason, 24, was arrested and charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance Third degree, Two counts of Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree, Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh degree, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.

Mason will be arraigned in Suffolk County First District Court in Central Islip tomorrow morning (5/29/15).

The East End Drug Task Force is a multi-jurisdictional drug enforcement unit funded by the office of Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota. The task force includes detectives, police officers, agents and law enforcement personnel from the New York State Police, Suffolk County Police Department, Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office, Suffolk County Department of Probation, Southampton Town Police Department, Riverhead Police Department, East Hampton Town Police Department, Southampton Village Police Department, Southold Town Police Department, DEA, Homeland Security and Suffolk County District Attorney Investigators.
