NCPD reports the arrest of Luis Ruiz-Moreta of Pennsylvania, 52, for Narcotics violations.

Massapequa, NY - May 30, 2018 - Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Pennsylvania man for Narcotics violations that occurred on May 18, 2018 at 6:02 P.M. in Massapequa.
 
According to Narcotics Vice Squad detectives, an investigation was conducted in the parking lot of Dicks Sporting Goods located at 1 Sunrise Mall, Massapequa. Defendant Luis Ruiz-Moreta, 52, of Dublin, Pa., while seated in the driver’s seat of a black Toyota Camry was found to be in possession of a large amount of a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine. The amount is in excess of 1 Kilogram. Defendant was arrested without incident, there were no injuries.
 
Ruiz-Moreta is charged with Criminal Possession of a controlled substance 1st degree and 3rd degree. He was arraigned on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
